Fabric Book and Button Floozies swap

I love the fabric books that everyone has been making lately so I decided to give one a try. The front cover  has lace, vintage millinery flowers, vintage buttons and old lace. It is still not finished but I am glad I got so far with it as I have been having trouble getting motivated to do much of anything.

First spread:

I used some old linen to make the pages

Used  images printed on fabric with my ink jet printer, from The Graphics Fairy and elsewhere on the internet..

lots of antique lace:

Love this picture of the two little boys on the left. You can click on images to enlarge.

The lovely fabric on the right came from a bolt of fabric that I got from the same lady I bought the doll in my last post from.  The fabric is full of moth holes but much of it can be salvaged, The old linen I used for this book and much of the lace also came from her.

The pink floral piece on the right is from an embroidered scarf that was falling apart.

The rest of the scarf and more vintage lace:

last page with some lovely old millinery berries and another image from The Graphics Fairy. Not sure about this page at all but it goes quite nicely with the previous page when you see the two together. I forgot to take a picture of the two together.

back cover still a work in progress:

This is the tin I received from Jean in The Button Floozies Fall in love with Buttons sawp. The top of the tin is nicely crackled and full of  pretty buttons. Again you can enlarge it to see.  Jean also sent along the pretty card on the right.

My camera broke so I didn't get to take a picture of the tin I sent out. Got a new one I am still learning to use. I really like it so far -- it was my first purchase off HSN. Don't worry I am not planning to make a habit of it :)

In other news, I have been laundering and ironing linens to put in my antique booth. I hadn't realized how much time ironing takes especially when you let all the work pile up :((

Have a wonderful day with lots of Vintage style.
